Published: May 21, 2024Super Eagles-eligible trio Noni Madueke, Carney Chukwuemeka and Lesley Ugochukwu will have a new coach at Chelsea in the 2024-2025 season.
Chelsea confirmed through their official website on Tuesday evening that Argentine football tactician Mauricio Pochettino has left the Blues after reaching a mutual agreement with the London club.
Despite Chelsea finishing in sixth place in the Premier League and qualifying for either the Europa League or Conference League depending on the outcome of the FA Cup final between Manchester United and Manchester City, the powers that be at the Stamford Bridge outfit have rubber-stamped the departure of the former Tottenham Hotspur, Southampton and Paris Saint-Germain manager.

Pochettino had been the fourth coach since the departure of Roman Abramovich and the purchase of the club by an American consortium led by Todd Boehly.
Boehly, in the two years of his administration, has spent more than £1 billion on the purchase of players
Madueke, Chukwuemeka and Ugochukwu arrived at Stamford Bridge from PSV Eindhoven, Aston Villa and Rennes for a combined transfer fee of 80 million euros.
With Mauricio Pochettino in the Chelsea dugout, the winger appeared in 34 matches and scored eight goals, while Ugochukwu and Chukwuemeka played in 15 and 12 matches respectively with the latter getting on the scoresheet on two occasions.
