Chelsea close to agreeing personal terms with 2015 Fifa U17 World Cup Golden Boot winner
Published: May 14, 2024Chelsea have intensified their approach to sign 2015 Fifa U17 World Cup Golden Boot winner Victor Osimhen.
According to CaughtOffside, the Blues are close to agreeing personal terms with the Super Eagles forward ahead of a potential summer move.
This follows a report where it was stated that transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, had confirmed that the Blues had contacted the agent of the star striker on the possibility of joining the club.
Besides agreeing on personal terms with the 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup Golden Boot winner, Chelsea will still have to find a way of meeting his valuation which is said to be in the region of €130m.
The Athletic's reliable transfer reporter David Ornstein, has recently revealed that the Stamford Bridge outfit are in a good financial position ahead of the forthcoming transfer window.
But recent reports have it that Chelsea are trying to err on the side of caution by proposing a player plus cash offer to Napoli rather than pay his entire release clause.
To aid their pursuit, the two-time European champions want to offer Romelu Lukaku to The Parthenopeans whose incoming Sporting Director Giovanni Manna, is a big fan of the Belgium international.
It will be interesting to see if an agreement can be reached that will suit all parties, failure of which will make Osimhen move elsewhere.
