NLO1 2024: FWC FC head coach Bunmi Haruna hails fans, management for support
Published: May 04, 2024FWC FC's head coach, Bunmi Haruna says the success recorded so far by the team in the Nigeria Nationwide League One, NLO1 2024 league season is down to the massive support he receives from the team's management.
FWC FC have gone 7 games unbeaten with six wins and one draw, scoring 20 gaols and conceding just three goal in the process.
The team is top of the table at Area 3 Center with 19 points, two points better than Police Machine FC who are second with 17 points.
Delighted with the overall performance his team has put up in the last two weeks of competition, despite playing out a 2-2 draw against closest rivals Police Machine FC, on Friday, Bunmi declared that the team's management has been the tonic for their breakthrough performance.
"When you have a management that knows how to get the best out of a team, your job is made easier," Haruna said.
"The players know they can't afford to disappoint, because they have enjoyed massive support from Mr Botars led FWC FC led management board.
"As a team we know we must win our remaining two games and we remain focused on the goal which is to get back to the NNL.
"We thank our fans for the massive support we have enjoyed so far and urged them not to relent.
"Abuja deserves the best and we will work hard to deliver promotion to the NNL."
FWC FC need to win their remaining two games, against HB Academy and Bussdor FC to qualify for the 2024 NLO1 national final.
Bunmi a two time assistant coach of the Golden Eaglets, took over at FWC FC in December 2023 with the mandate to get the club back to the Nigeria second division, NNL.
