Cypriot club Apollon Limassol make official bid to sign 2019 Super Eagles invitee
Published: January 31, 2024Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report with certainty that Cypriot club Apollon Limassol have mae an official bid to sign 2019 Super Eagles invitee Viv Solomon-Otabor.
The exciting winger has been a long-term target for Apollon Limassol, who were unsuccessful in their attempt to sign him in the summer transfer window.
Solomon-Otabor is now waiting for both clubs to agree a fee before discussing personal terms with the four-time Cypriot First Division champions.
The Birmingham City academy product is in the final five months of his contract with Ukrainian Premier Liga club Rukh Lviv, whom he joined in January 2022 and has gone on to make 42 appearances in which he managed to score three goals and register two assists.
It remains to be seen whether Apollon Limassol will get the deal over the line with the transfer window in Cyprus closing for business today, Wednesday.
Should the deal go through, he will link up with former Nigeria U23 international Godswill Ekpolo at Apollon Limassol.
Apart from Birmingham City, Solomon-Otabor counts Blackpool, Wigan Athletic, Portsmouth, CSKA Sofia, St. Johnstone FC and Bolton Wanderers as his previous clubs.
The 28-year-old was called up for a glamour friendly between Nigeria and Brazil in October 2019 but was a non-playing substitute.
