Victor Osimhen was in action for Napoli when they lost 3-2 to Real Madrid on matchday two of the UEFA Champions League played at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona on Tuesday night.
The Italian outfit took the lead through a header from Leo Østigård after a previous header from Nathan hit the crossbar.
Vinicius Jr. leveled the scores for Real Madrid before Jude Bellingham gave the away side the lead with a brilliant finish in the 34th minute having made a solo run into the 18-yard box.
Osimhen came close to scoring the equalising goal for the Parthenopeans but was denied by Chelsea loanee Kepa Arrizabalaga who was in goal for the the Los Blancos
The 24-year-old would later be involved in Napoli's second goal with his shot ricocheting Nacho's arm and that led to a penalty for Rudi Garcia's side which was converted by Piotr Zieliński.
This is the third consecutive game Osimhen has not been on penalty duties despite being on the pitch.
Real Madrid scored what proved to be the winner though an own goal from Alex Meret own goal after a powerful shot from Federico Valverde ricocheted off his head before landing in goal.
Osimhen recorded 24 touches in the game, 100% passing accuracy, made 1 key pass, had one shot on target, three shots blocked, was fouled on two occasions and lost the ball 7 times.
