'Let's see what happens' - Napoli striker Osimhen refuses to rule out making a move this summer
Published: August 20, 2023Victor Osimhen is not ruling out the possibility of leaving Napoli this summer.
The future of the Nigeria international has been a topical issue all summer having been linked with Manchester United, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich but all have been forced to look at alternatives due to his huge transfer valuation.
He has also been courted by Saudi Pro League sides Al Ahli and Al Hilal who have made record bids for him but their approaches were turned down by Napoli.
The Parthenopeans have shown their reluctance in selling the Nigerian forward by placing a heavy price tag on him and are also discussing a contract extension with the reigning Serie A Best striker.
Osimhen has confirmed that talks are still ongoing about his contract extension but has left the door open regarding his future.
"There has been a lot of speculation. Renewal? The president is the boss, we are negotiating, I am a Napoli player and I continue to give my heart to my team. Let's see what happens at the end of the market."he told DAZN via Tuttonapoli.
The 24-year-old has begun the season in excellent form, scoring a brace in Napoli's 3-1 victory over Frosinone.
He has now registered 61 goals and 14 appearances in 102 appearances across all competitions for the Blues.
