In a friendly match played across three 35-minute periods, 2023 Flying Eagles invitee Thompson Ishaka scored a goal for Rangers B in their 4-1 pre-season loss to Belgian Pro League side OH Leuven at the Leicester City Training Ground earlier today.
Ishaka got his goal after Zak Lovelace provided a lovely through ball to him and slotted it beyond the goalkeeper in the ninth minute.
OH Leuven were quick to get back on level terms through Banzuzi Ezechiel in the 13th minute and took the lead through Maertens Mathieu two minutes after.
Ishaka resumed the second half looking to get his team back on level terms but his effort from the edge of the box was saved by the goalkeeper.
The Nigerian nearly gave an assist after he delivered a dangerous ball to Lowry and struck from the edge of the box but was saved again by the OH Leuven keeper.
He was replaced in the 64th minute by James Graham.
OH Leuven got their third goal through Ezechiel who also scored the first goal and sealed their victory with a goal in the 83rd minute from Dom Joren.
