How can Freiburg's German-Nigerian attacker fit in at Brentford if proposed move goes through?
Published: July 13, 2022
With the transfer window getting to the stage where deals get serious between clubs, Premier League club Brentford are pushing hard to sign Freiburg's German-Nigerian attacker Kevin Schade before the close of the summer transfer window, according to Kicker.
The Bees are not giving up their pursuit of Schade after their initial offer of fifteen million euros was rejected by Freiburg.
However, if a transfer goes through for Schade to Brentford, how can the fleet-footed winger fit in at the Bees?
Allnigeriasoccer.com takes a look at the style of play of both parties.
Schade's style of play
The German-Nigerian winger is a very quick player who likes to play short passes and win fouls in dangerous areas of the pitch. He is strong aerially and is a very clinical finisher.
Schade is very good in open space but he is a little bit weak on the ball in tight spaces. He is also quite weak defensively.
Brentford's style of play
Thomas Frank is a faithful user of the 4-1-4-1 set-up but it changes from time to time. Ivan Toney is the focal point of this formation but he also serves as a creative hub through which the attack flows.
Toney is an aerial monster as he wins many balls in the air and drops it in the half-spaces where onrushing midfielders and attackers can utilize one on ones against centre-backs.
This is where Schade can express his combinational play and incredible finishing. It is a salivating prospect to imagine Schade getting on the end of Toney's knockdowns.
