Super Eagles striker captains Leicester City for 45 minutes against Notts County

Leicester City stepped up their pre-season preparations with a friendly against National League club Notts County at LCFC Training Ground on Saturday afternoon.

Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers fielded a different team in each half and gave the captain's armband to Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho for the second forty five minutes, while Wilfred Ndidi and goalkeeper Chituru Odunze weren't included in the matchday squad.

Portuguese fullback Ricardo skippered the side when the game started but was replaced at the interval.

Harvey Barnes netted the Foxes first goal of the pre-season with a well taken strike just past the half hour mark but the visitors restored parity through Mitchell at minute 42.

Twelve minutes from time, Baldwin netted what proved to be the game-winning goal as he headed home a free-kick from Roberts.

Iheanacho was unlucky not to score the goal of the game as he unleashed a curler from the edge of the area but it bounced back off the post in the 85th minute.

Coming up next for the Nigerian and his teammates is their second pre-season friendly against OH Leuven at the
King Power at Den Dreef Stadion (Heverlee) on Saturday, July 16.
