CSKA Moscow winger Ejuke, 5 others reports for international duty ahead of AFCON 2021

Six invitees named in Nigeria's finalized squad list for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations have reported for international duty in Abuja as the national team begin their preparations for the tournament in Cameroon.
South African-based defender Olisa Ndah, Union Berlin striker Taiwo Awoniyi and Enyimba goalkeeper John Noble arrived on the opening day of camping, Wednesday, December 29.
That number has doubled in the last twenty-four hours with the arrivals of Almeria goal poacher Umar Sadiq, Kaizer Chiefs glovesman Daniel Akpeyi and CSKA Moscow winger Chidera Ejuke.
The Russian Premier League and DSTV Premiership have been paused until February, paving the way for Ejuke and Akpeyi to link up with the national team a day after the start of camping.
Of the aforementioned players, only Akpeyi has Africa Cup of Nations experience under his belt as he was the first choice goalkeeper at the last tournament in Egypt, playing five of the Super Eagles' seven matches.
The Super Eagles will open group play at the Africa Cup of Nations against Egypt on January 11, face Sudan on January 15 and finish the group phase against Guinea-Bissau four days later.
