Published: November 21, 2021
Venezia have extended their unbeaten run in the Italian Serie A to three matches after a hard-fought 1-0 win over Bologna at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara on Sunday.
Former Nigeria U23 international David Okereke was the hero for the Lagunari, netting the game-winning goal just past the hour mark.
The Club Brugge loanee continued his goalscoring run when he found the net from close range after poncing on a pass from Gianluca Busio.
Okereke also netted a game-winning goal versus AS Roma in Venezia's last match before the last international break of the 2021-2022 season.
The Football College Abuja product opened his account for the season against FC Empoli and added to that tally on matchday nine in a loss to US Sassuolo.
Elsewhere, Aliyu Ibrahim's 34th minute strike helped NK Lokomotiva come back from two goals down to draw 2-2 away at HNK Gorica.
The goal netted by the Nigeria U20 international started the fightback before his team equalised on the hour mark.
