Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr might be forced to name a confirmed non-playing substitute during his side's 2022 World Cup qualifying match against Central African Republic this evening.
The latest check on the fitness of Racing Genk goal machine Paul Onuachu has not come back positive.
This website reported on Wednesday that the former FC Midtjylland man picked up an ankle injury during the morning session on Tuesday and didn't participate in full training later in the evening.
Nothing has changed as Onuachu did not train with the rest of his Super Eagles teammates in their final workout on Wednesday and Rohr now has to decide whether to name him in the squad to make up the numbers or leave him out entirely.
Otherwise, the Franco-German coach has a full squad at his disposal, twenty-two players in total, including Sparta Rotterdam goalkeeper Maduka Okoye, who received a lot of stick for reporting to camp late.
The Super Eagles' players and officials will leave their hotel for the Teslim Balogun Stadium at approximately 1430 hours on Thursday, October 7.
The team walk, which is customary on match days in order for the players to bond, is expected to begin at 1200 hours.
