Rohr picks three Liberia stars Super Eagles should watch out for in World Cup qualifier
Manager Gernot Rohr has identified three Liberia players the Super Eagles should watch out for in this evening's 2022 World Cup qualifier at the Teslim Balogun Stadium.

The former Bayern Munich defender highlighted that Slavia Prague midfielder Oscar Dorley, Kedah Darul Aman FC striker Kpah Sherman and FC Aarau's Allen Njie are the star players who could make a difference.

Dorley made a name for himself during last season's Europa League, helping Slavia Prague see off Leicester City and Rangers in the knockout rounds of the competition, before holding Arsenal to an impressive 1-1 draw at the Emirates Stadiu.

Sherman is having a phenomenal season at Kedah Darul Aman FC with a goal involvement of seventeen (13 goals, 4 assists) from 17 games in the Malaysian top-flight.

Nigeria have done some opposition scouting before taking to the pitch against the Lone Stars.

Rohr told reporters at the pre-match press conference : "We played already one friendly game in Monrovia two or three years ago, and from this team there are still some players and also we could watch in June their three friendlies against Tunisia twice and one other game in Algeria.

"I had my scouting boy there Nabil Trabelsi, he was in his country Tunisia and he could check everything and watch the games.

"During our stay in Austria, they played three games in North Africa and we could see that they are a good team.

"They have some players who are playing in big clubs like Oscar Dorley playing in Slavia Prague for example, a very good midfielder, or Njie who is playing in Switzerland (Challenge League).

"They have a very good center forward Sherman playing in Malaysia so I think we know them a little bit and already we had some video sessions to show to my players they are really a good team, and we never underrate anybody".

The Super Eagles are unbeaten in their last five matches against Liberia - winning four and drawing the other game.
