Done deal : Anglo-Nigerian LB departs Arsenal after 13 years, joins League One club
Anglo-Nigerian defender Tolaji Bola has ended a 13-year association with Arsenal following a permanent transfer to EFL League One club Rotherham United on Tuesday, August 10, informs the official website of Arsenal.

The 22-year-old, who joined the Gunners at the age of nine, departs the north London club without making his debut for the first team, but was a non-playing substitute against Nottingham Forest in the League Cup in September 2019.

An important member of the Gunners U23 squad in recent years, he is credited with 50 appearances for the club in the Premier League 2 and often trained with the first team.

Bola will be keen to build on his first team experience at Rochdale in the first part of last season, making eleven appearances in the third-tier of English football.

He becomes Rotherham United's fifth signing of the summer transfer window after putting pen to paper on a three-year contract.

Predominantly a left-back, Bola is also comfortable playing as a central defender, left wing-back and left midfielder.

He has represented England at U16, U17 and U18 levels, and eligible to wear the colours of Nigeria through his father.
