Young Nigerian GK drops the biggest hint yet he'll extend his 13-year association with Arsenal

Promising Nigeria-eligible goalkeeper Ovie Ejeheri has dropped the biggest hint yet that he will be a player of Arsenal for the 2021-2022 season by reporting for pre-season training, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.

There is speculation over the future of the Hale End Academy product at the Emirates Stadium as his contract - a two-year scholarship he signed in 2019 - expired on June 30, 2021.

Arsenal have offered Ejeheri his first professional contract but there is no official confirmation from the club whether or not he accepted the terms.

Everything is pointing to the fact that the 2003-born glovesman will extend his thirteen-year association with Arsenal as he has been involved in pre-season activities and started for the U23s in a 3-1 loss to Bromley at Hayes Lane on Tuesday, July 27.

Born and raised in Greenwich, London, Ejeheri joined the Emirates outfit at the age of five, rising through the ranks before breaking into the U18 side in 2020-2021.

With Arthur Okonkwo promoted to the first team, Ejeheri is challenging Hubert Graczyk, James Hillson and Karl Jakob Hein for a place in Arsenal U23s starting lineup in the new season.

Ejeheri is also eligible to wear the colours of the national teams of England and Uganda.
