Manchester United and Chelsea battling to sign teenage box-to-box Nigerian midfielder
Published: July 13, 2021Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Premier League giants Manchester United and Chelsea are battling to sign Leyton Orient wonderkid Ayodele Ojo.
League Two club Leyton Orient are doing everything possible to keep hold of the box-to-box midfielder for at least two more seasons and offered him a scholarship, which he 'somehow signed' this month.
It is believed that Ojo inking a new contract with The O's was done just to push up his asking price.
The Anglo-Nigerian is represented by one of the biggest agencies in Europe, Stellar Group.
Chelsea made a move for Ojo but Leyton Orient were not interested in selling him to the Blues.
Manchester United now came into the picture and are thrashing out a fee with Leyton Orient to bring the midfielder to Old Trafford.
Described as technically strong for his age, Ojo was a schoolboy at Tottenham Hotspur before transferring to Leyton Orient.
