'An unbelievable experience' - Anjorin reacts to Chelsea's Champions League win vs Man City
Published: May 30, 2021Nigeria-eligible winger Faustino Anjorin took to social media this evening to react to Chelsea lifting the UEFA Champions League following a hard-fought 1-0 win against Manchester City on Saturday night.
Kai Havertz scored his first-ever Champions League goal three minutes before the interval to secure a win for Thomas Tuchel's side.
It was always going to be a tall order for Anjorin to be named in Chelsea's matchday 23 as there were more experienced players in the squad.
Though he didn't play a part in the showpiece at the Estádio do Dragão in Porto, Portugal, he received a winners' medal.
Rubbing shoulders with Chelsea's first team stars before and after the final, and watching events unfold from the stands would be a good experience for the England youth international.
Writing on Instagram, Anjorin said : "What an unbelievable experience! So proud to be a part of such an amazing team🔥💙 @chelseafc".
Anjorin, 19, recorded three appearances for Chelsea's first-team in 2020-2021, including debuts in the Champions League and Emirates FA Cup.
