Proud Nigerian dad shows off his son Anjorin celebrating UCL win with Chelsea academy products
Published: May 30, 2021Sheriff Anjorin, the father of Chelsea winger Faustino Anjorin, was a proud dad after Chelsea won the UEFA Champions League on Saturday night.
Although Sheriff Anjorin couldn't watch his son play in European football's biggest game, with manager Thomas Tuchel deciding against naming the versatile winger in his matchday 23, he would be delighted to see his son receive a winners' medal after the final.
Faustino was one of seven academy products picked in a provisional 25-man
squad for the showpiece against Manchester City, the others being
Andreas Christensen, Tammy Abraham, Mason Mount, Callum Hudson-Odoi,
Billy Gilmour and Reece James.
Sheriff Anjorin has uploaded via Twitter a photo of his son celebrating Chelsea's Champions League win with the aforementioned academy products.
"La Cobham'', he captioned the photo.
Sheriff Anjorin previously informed allnigeriasoccer.com that he wanted his son to take football as a career right from the day he was born
and decided to name him after Colombia and Newcastle legend, Faustino
Asprilla.
Thirteen years ago, Anjorin Senior opted for his son to join Chelsea ahead of the other clubs interested in his services because the Blues have one of the best academies in England in addition to the presence of John Obi Mikel at the club.
