Iroegbunam named West Brom's Academy Player of the Season
Through their official website, relegated Premier League side West Brom have announced that Nigeria-eligible youngster Tim Iroegbunam has won the club's Marc Darcy Academy Player of the Season.

The 17-year-old impressed for the Baggies academy sides over the course of the 2020-2021 campaign.

On the final day of the Premier League season, manager Sam Allardyce named Iroegbunam in the matchday squad against Leeds United but he was a non-playing substitute.

Reacting to winning the Academy Player of the Season award, Iroegbunam posted on Instagram : "Pleased to win the 2020/21 academy player of the season 🙌🏿".

He was influential as the Baggies U18s reached the semifinals of the FA Youth Cup, scoring two goals and providing an assist in five games, all of which he started.

The midfielder featured 14 times for West Brom in the U18 Premier League while making 8 appearances in the Premier League 2, logging 1,704 minutes in total.
