Orlando City name asking price for Manchester United, Chelsea-linked striker of Nigerian descent
Published: April 02, 2021Major League Soccer club Orlando City have reportedly named their asking price for American-born Nigerian striker Daryl Dike amid speculation linking him with possible move to the Premier League in the summer transfer window.
According to the Orlando Sentinel, the Lions are holding firm on their $20 million price tag for the promising striker.
Dike can be signed for that fee with Orlando City retaining twenty percent of his rights, their reward in case of a future transfer of the player.
Manchester United and Chelsea are among the Premier League clubs who have been linked with a move for Dike.
However, it has been suggested that Everton are in front of the queue to sign the 20-year-old should he decide to move onto pastures new, while Belgium and Russia have also been mentioned as potential destinations.
He has 35 games under his belt as a professional, scoring thirteen goals combined for both Orlando City and Barnsley.
Dike was a second half substitute as Barnsley were held to a 1-1 draw by Reading in a Championship clash at Oakwell on Friday night.
