Manchester United to check out Nigeria-eligible striker on Friday ahead of possible move
Published: April 02, 2021English Premier League giants Manchester United will run the rule over Nigeria-eligible striker Daryl Dike when Barnsley tackle Reading in a Championship clash on Friday evening, according to reports.
Stretty News has claimed that the Red Devils recruitment specialists will monitor proceedings at Oakwell and their subject of interest is United States international Dike.
Yesterday marked two months that Dike joined Barnsley on loan from Major League Soccer club Orlando City for the remainder of the season.
Other unnamed Premier League clubs are also expected to take note of the American-Nigerian who has taken the Championship by storm since his arrival in England.
The 20-year-old has scored five goals in eleven league appearances for the Reds, arousing the attentions of the top clubs in the English top-flight.
Another player of Nigerian descent who is on the agenda of Premier League clubs this summer is Super Eagles target Michael Olise and he could be on parade against Barnsley.
Barnsley hold an option to sign Dike permanently but everything will depend on whether they are promoted to the Premier League at the end of the season.
