Italian pundit says Napoli's Osimhen reminds him of legendary Milan striker George Weah
Published: March 17, 2021Paolo Bargiggia, a journalist from Sportitalia, has revealed that Napoli striker Victor Osimhen reminds him of legendary AC Milan striker now president of Liberia, George Weah.
Bargiggia is backing the Nigeria national teamer to rediscover his goalscoring touch and highlighted that the number 9 has struggled in his first season in Italy due to injuries.
The pundit believes Osimhen is a top quality player in the mould of Weah but he's not yet playing at his best.
"Victor Osimhen? We know 30-40% of this boy, who stayed away from the pitch due to injuries," Bargiggia said on Radio Marte's Voce di popolo - Si gonfia l arete.
"The former Lille striker has a bit of a panther style that can somehow recall those of the great George Weah, former Milan. The real Osimhen, trust us, we have not yet seen".
In eighteen outings for Napoli across all competitions, Osimhen has scored three goals and has one assist to his name.
