Spartak Moscow director reveals exact nature of injury suffered by Chelsea loanee Victor Moses
Published: March 16, 2021Victor Moses faces a spell on the sidelines after he was diagnosed with a tear of the lateral ligament of the knee joint, Spartak Moscow PR Department Director, Anton Fetisov has informed Sport Express Russia.
The Chelsea loanee picked up the injury during the first half of Spartak Moscow's 2-1 win in the derby against Dinamo last weekend, leading to his replacement after 29 minutes.
That game against Dinamo made it thirteen appearances in a red and white shirt for the two-time World Cupper.
Fetisov has not specified when Moses will return to action but he's set to miss the upcoming league game against Ural on Thursday, March 18.
The 30-year-old has scored two goals and set up two others since his temporary switch to the Muscovites last October.
Spartak Moscow signing the Nigerian permanently in the summer will largely depend on how successful his season is.
One of Chelsea's longest-serving players on a first team contract, Moses previously spent time on loan at Liverpool, Stoke City, West Ham United, Fenerbahce and Inter Milan.
