Nigeria-eligible defender tipped to depart Arsenal in summer, after thirteen years of service
Nigeria-eligible defender Tolaji Bola has been tipped to depart his boyhood club Arsenal at the end of the 2020-2021 season, according to reports.

Football.London says the Anglo-Nigerian left-back is among the academy players set to end their association with the Gunners in the summer.

Bola has been on the books of Arsenal since 2008, rising through the ranks before signing his first professional contract in January 2016.

The 22-year-old has reached that age where he has to be playing professional football on a regular basis, something which Arsenal cannot guarantee him with the likes of Kieran Tierney, Bukayo Saka and Cédric Soares ahead of him in the pecking order.

He was loaned out to Rochdale in the first half of the season and went on to play twelve matches in all competitions for the League One club before returning to the Emirates Stadium in January.

Last season, he was on the bench as Arsenal beat Nottingham Forest in the League Cup and was with the first team as the nineteenth man for two Premier League games against Bournemouth and Sheffield United.

As exclusively reported by allnigeriasoccer.com thirty-three days ago, Nigerian-born center back Joseph Olowu is set to depart Arsenal in June as he has not yet been offered a new contract.
