Chelsea boss runs the rule over Anjorin ahead of big Premier League clash vs Manchester United
Published: February 26, 2021Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel continues to monitor Faustino Anjorin at close quarters with a view to the possibility of including the talented winger in his gameday squad for Sunday's blockbuster Premier League clash against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that the Anglo-Nigerian winger actively participated in the training sessions held at at Chelsea Training Ground in Cobham on Thursday and Friday.
Anjorin was not included in the traveling party for Chelsea's Champions League meeting against Atletico Madrid but trained with the squad before the trip to Bucharest, Romania.
The Chelsea players had Wednesday as a rest day after the impressive 1-0 road win against the Spanish table-toppers.
Anjorin has been training with the first team since the appointment of the German football tactician and has not been selected for Chelsea's last three matches in the Premier League 2 against Arsenal, Derby County and Liverpool.
The 19-year-old has gained more first team experience this season, featuring in the Champions League while playing two matches in the Emirates FA Cup.
He has also done well for Chelsea youth teams, scoring five goals and providing two assists in seven matches.
