Published: February 11, 2021Everton defeated Tottenham Hotspur by the odd goal in nine after extra-time in a pulsating Emirates FA Cup tie at Goodison Park on Wednesday night.
Nigeria international Alex Iwobi started and was in action for 70 minutes before making way for Bernard.
Spurs took the lead through Davinson Sanchez in the third minute but the Toffees went into a two-goal as
Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison and Gylfi Sigurdsson found the net before Erik Lamela made it 3-2 just before half-time.

Still the drama continued in the second half, Sanchez grabbed his second of the night at minute 57 after Toby Alderweireld's header was palmed into his path, Richarlison put Everton back in front in the 68th minute and a Harry Kane header took the game into extra-time.
One of Everton's substitutes ultimately won the match for them, Bernard with a fine finish after he was picked out by the impressive Sigurdsson in the 97th minute.
Shortly after the amazing night, Iwobi took to Twitter to celebrate Everton reaching the quarterfinals, posting : "
Next Round 🤞🏽".

Iwobi was part of the Arsenal team that won the FA Cup in 2017 but was a non-playing substitute in the showpiece vs Chelsea.
