Former Liverpool Trialist Ejuke Admits He Supports Man Utd, Carefully Watching PSG Stars Neymar, Mbappe
Published: February 08, 2021CSKA Moscow winger Chidera Ejuke has admitted that he is a fan of English Premier League giants Manchester United and aiming to become a better player by watching Paris Saint-Germain super stars Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
Ejuke shares the same agent as Odion Ighalo who was on the books of Manchester United until end of last month.
Five years ago, the 23-year-old trained with the youth team of Liverpool but the Premier League champions passed up the opportunity to sign him and he has also attracted interest from United's city rivals Manchester City in the past.
Blessed with pace and excellent dribbling skills, Ejuke acknowledged that he is not yet a finished product.
"I closely watch the recognized stars, for example, Neymar and Mbappé. Because almost every action they take on the pitch benefits the team," Ejuke said to Bobsoccer.
"This is the landmark! I try to learn from them and transfer something to my game.
"This is an ongoing process, and I am perfectly aware of what elements I need to correct and develop. "
He added : "I especially like Neymar. Basically, he is playing in the same position as me. What he sometimes does on the pitch is fantastic!
"I try to get closer to this level, I carefully study his manner. I think Neymar is an outstanding player".
Asked to mention the club he supports in world football, Ejuke answered : "As for club football, I support Manchester United".
Ejuke joined CSKA Moscow on a four-year deal from Dutch club SC Heerenveen last summer and has made nineteen appearances for the Army Men, scoring two goals.
