Crystal Palace's Eze Battles Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool, Leeds Stars For EPL Goal Of The Month
Published: February 05, 2021England U21 international of Nigerian descent Eberechi Eze has been nominated for the Premier League Goal of the Month award for January 2021.
The Crystal Palace attacking midfielder has been shortlisted for the accolade thanks to his goal in a 2-0 home win against Sheffield United on matchday 17.
Few minutes after coming off the bench, Eze scored a stunning solo goal to break Sheffield United's hearts.
He breezed past a number of players from the half-way line before nonchalantly rolling the ball into the far corner.
Eze's effort has been nominated alongside seven other eye-catching goals scored by Marcos Alonso (Chelsea), Kieran Tierney, Bukayo Saka (both Arsenal), Tanguy Ndombele, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (both Tottenham), Patrick Bamford (Leeds) and Mohamed Salah (Liverpool).
The last and only Nigerian player to win the Premier League Goal of the Month award was Fulham center back Ola Aina for his spectacular strike against West Brom on November 2.

The winner of the award will be announced on Friday, January 12, four days after the close of voting.
