Official : Spanish Club AD Alcorcon Win Race For Former Arsenal Star Nwakali
Published: February 01, 2021Spanish Segunda Division club Agrupación Deportiva Alcorcón have won the race for the signature of former Arsenal midfielder Kelechi Nwakali.
The Alto Aragonese club and the Madrid club have reached an agreement for the temporary transfer of the Nigeria youth international, SD Huesca informed via their official website.
Apart from AD Alcorcón, Logroñés and an unnamed Belgian First Division A club had been pushing to sign the 2015 U17 World Cup-winning captain in the January transfer window.
Nwakali has found game time hard to come by since the start of this season, making only seven appearances across all competitions while logging 238 minutes.
Prior to his switch to SD Huesca in September 2019, he was on the books of Arsenal and enjoyed loan spells at MVV Maastricht, VVV Venlo and Porto during his time at the Emirates Stadium.
He will be officially presented as a new AD Alcorcón player in the coming days.
