Leicester City Boss Rodgers Refuses To Blame Absence Of Ndidi For Loss To Leeds United
Leicester City were defeated 3-1 by Leeds United in a Premier League clash at the King Power Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The Foxes had the early advantage, for only two minutes, given to them by Harvey Barnes but Patrick Bamford scored one and set up the other two as Leeds United claimed a famous victory.

Brendan Rodgers was without two of his key players for the visit of Leeds United, top scorer Jamie Vardy is on the mend after a hernia operation and Wilfred Ndidi is out with a hamstring issue.

The Northern Irishman has played down suggestions that the absence of his top scorer and first choice holding midfielder contributed to the loss.

On missing Jamie Vardy and Wilfred Ndidi, Rodgers told BBC Match of the Day : "Make no mistake, we have won games without Jamie. We just were not good enough to get the result today".

Of the fifteen matches Ndidi has missed this season, Leicester City have won seven, drawn two and lost six.

Leicester City are now fourth in the provisional standings following their loss to Leeds United.
