'He Was One Of The Best' - Chelsea Loanee Moses Gets Top Rating From Spartak Chief
Published: November 08, 2020
Spartak Moscow general director Shamil Gazizov has praised Victor Moses for his performance in Saturday's 2-2 draw with Ural in the Russian Premier League.
The Chelsea loanee started the game and it made sense to replace him at half time as he was walking a disciplinary tightrope after he was cautioned in the 34th minute.
Winning a penalty converted by Alexander Sobolev in the first minute of stoppage time was the highlight of his performance before he subbed out.
Acquiring a right-sided player was a priority for Spartak Moscow in the summer transfer window, and they eventually signed Moses on loan for the remainder of the season after missing out on Tottenham Hotspur's Serge Aurier.
Assessing Moses's performance against Ural, Gazizov told Sport Express : "The coach knows better. I don't want to get involved in the work of a coach.
"Was anyone better than Moses today in your opinion? He was one of the best. The game was good, but we are not happy."
Up next for Moses and his Spartak teammates is a Moscow derby against Dinamo on November 21.
