Arsenal Coach Reacts To Alexander-Arnold Escaping Red Card After Reckless Challenge On Saka
Liverpool fullback Trent Alexander-Arnold escaped a red card during his side's 2-1 loss to Arsenal in the English Premier League on Wednesday night at the Emirates Stadium in London.

The defender's reckless challenge on Arsenal number 77, Bukayo Saka in the 48th minute was similar to Eddie Nketiah's poor tackle on Leicester's City James Justin in the penultimate home game.

While Nketiah was dismissed and slapped with a three-game ban, referee Paul Tierney only showed a yellow card to Alexander-Arnold, which left Arsenal fans furious as television images clearly showed Saka writhing in pain after falling to the ground.

When asked to share his thoughts on Alexander-Arnold's challenge on Saka at the post-match press conference, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta refused to point the finger of blame at the young Liverpool right-back.

The Spaniard was quoted as saying by arsenal.com : "It was in front of me and it's part of the game. I think they both went for the ball and that is part of the game".

Saka, Arsenal's top assist provider in all competitions with twelve, was replaced after 84 minutes against Liverpool.
