Photo Confirmation : Anjorin Features In Chelsea's In-House Game At Stamford Bridge
Published: June 07, 2020Nigeria-eligible youngster Faustino Anjorin will be hoping to play a part for Chelsea for the remainder of the season as he has been involved in first-team activities since the squad resumed preparations.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard ran the rule over the England U19 international during Saturday's in-house game staged at Stamford Bridge.
Shortly after the game, Anjorin took to Instagram to announce that he felt good to be back, with an accompanying photo of himself and Emerson Palmieri battling for the ball during the friendly.
The 18-year-old played for the away side that also contained Toni Rudiger, Ross Barkley, Mateo Kovacic, Marcos Alonso, Kurt Zouma and Olivier Giroud.
Capable of playing as an attacking midfielder and winger, he will be competing with the likes of Barkley, Willian, Mason Mount, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Pedro for a spot in the matchday squad for the upcoming games.
Anjorin's development at Chelsea has been rapid as he was classed as an U16 player three years ago.
Chelsea's first match since the league was halted will take place against Aston Villa on Sunday, June 21.
