Liverpool In Talks With Man Utd, Chelsea-Linked Nigerian Striker With 38 Goals In Two Seasons
Published: April 28, 2020Liverpool have reportedly opened talks with representatives of Nigeria international Victor Osimhen.
French media outlet Le 10 Sport claims the current European champions have started laying the groundwork for a proposal to sign the striker from Lille in the summer.
The website has suggested that Manchester United and Chelsea will battle it out with Liverpool for the signature of the 2015 U17 World Cup Golden Boot winner.
Osimhen is also on the radar of Spanish La Liga, German Bundesliga and Italian Serie A clubs with a view to a summer move but it is claimed he would prefer a transfer to the Premier League .
Jurgen Klopp is in the market for a striker and recently contacted Kylian Mbappe's dad in the hope of sealing a deal but the truth is that the French World Cup winner is not affordable, hence, a cheaper alternative is being considered to provide competition for Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah.
The 21-year-old Osimhen has scored 38 goals combined in the last two seasons for Sporting Charleroi and Lille.
The Super Eagles star was earlier valued at more than 80 million euros but in reality he is expected to cost less because clubs are no more generating income due to the coronavirus outbreak.
