Rangers Assistant Coach Reveals One Area Son of Barcelona, Real Madrid Legend Is Behind Aribo
Published: April 26, 2020Glasgow Rangers assistant manager Michael Beale has opined that Ianis Hagi, who is the son of Real Madrid and Barcelona legend Gheorghe Hagi , is behind Joe Aribo in terms of physicality.
Since Hagi's arrival at Rangers on loan in the January transfer window, the Nigeria international has more or less kept his place in the starting lineup, starting all but one of the matches played by Steven Gerrard's side in the Scottish Premiership.
Rangers' transfer strategy is to try and sign young promising players and this saw the arrival of the likes of Hagi, Aribo and Sheyi Ojo, who are all classed as U23 players, to the club this season.
On the qualities of Hagi, Beale told goal.com : "You can see what he is born into with his talent in the blood. I think in the next two or three years, he is slightly behind [Ryan] Kent and [Joe] Aribo.
"In two years, where will his body be? His mind gets it, he sees passes, he gets the tactics and uses the right balls.
"I am excited to work with him more. He can go onto what he wants to do in the game. It is about finding a club that’s right for him and I think we are that. We are the ideal fit for him right now.
"I think financially we have to be very open with our recruitment. We don’t get anywhere near what even the Championship teams get. We have a lot of top Under-23s players, Brandon Barker, Ryan Kent, Joe Aribo."

Aribo's brilliant start to his career at Rangers saw
him earn a maiden call-up to the Super Eagles for a friendly against
Ukraine last September and he has become one of the first names on Gernot Rohr's
teamsheet.
