Dillon Hoogewerf: The Youngster Looking To Follow In The Footsteps Of Rashford, Greenwood
Dillon Hoogewerf has emerged as the newest of Manchester United's starlets looking to break through the ranks at Carrington, and after making plausible inroads at the club is set for a very important phase of his career.

The talented striker has had to shoulder a lot of goalscoring burden for the club's youth sides, scoring a lot of stunning goals, one which first team manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had once witnessed in the prestigious FA Youth Cup win over Leeds.

Last month, the 17-year-old was rewarded with his first professional contract at Old Trafford having distinguished himself with the Red Devils academy teams since joining from Ajax less than a year ago.

This season, Hoogewerf has has already featured for United's youth teams in the U18 Premier League, U18 Premier League Cup, FA Youth Cup and Premier League 2.

First team stars the likes of Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood and Brandon Williams are just a few names who have made the jump from the academy to play for the senior side, and the youngster could be looking to emulate them soon.

Thus, he could yet become the second Nigeria-eligible player to turn out for the Red Devils first-team in the Premier League, taking a leaf out of Odion Ighalo's books.
