Super Eagles Star Shehu Names 2 Man Utd Legends, Arsenal Icon, World Cup Winners In Dream XI
Published: March 25, 2020In a Twitter question and answer session, Nigeria international Abdullahi Shehu has selected his dream starting XI comprising past and present footballers.
There was room for six Nigerian players in his dream XI, with Vincent Enyeama, Joseph Yobo, Sunday Oliseh, Austin Okocha, Nwankwo Kanu and Rashidi Yekini making the cut.
A certified legend in Nigeria, Enyeama starts in goal and the defence contains two-time World Cup winner Cafu at right-back, Yobo and Italy World Cup-winning captain Fabio Cannavaro in central defence and Manchester United legend Patrice Evra at left-back.
In a four-man midfield, the Bursaspor star went for 1994 Africa Cup of Nations-winning duo Oliseh and Okocha, Ronaldo and Manchester United's record appearance maker, Ryan Giggs.
Arsenal hero Nwankwo Kanu and Nigeria's top scorer of all-time, Yekini were given the nod to lead the attack.
