Manchester United Star Ighalo Not Thinking About Contract Situation Amid Coronavirus Pandemic
Published: March 21, 2020Odion Ighalo is not thinking about his contract situation at Manchester United and is more bothered about the health challenges being faced due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Premier League and English Football League are protecting the players and fans by opting to postpone matches until no earlier than April 30.
The competition was earlier postponed until the start of April before the date was extended on Thursday, March 19.
Ighalo's loan deal with United will expire on June 30 and there has been heavy speculation that the striker could be offered a permanent deal following a brilliant start to his career at Manchester United, with 4 goals in his first three starts.
Asked to comment on his contract situation, Ighalo told The Sun UK : "Talking about other things now will not only be selfish but terribly insensitive. I don’t even think about it.
"The challenge before us now is not a football one, but a global one.
"You can’t put football before health challenges. What matters right now is to keep safe and pray for those battling with the virus to recover fully.
"This is another reminder for us to share love in this world. Continue to show kindness to one another because a problem facing one is a problem to all."
