Top Ten Youngest Players To Sign An MLS Contract : Nigerian-Born Left Back Makes List
The official website of Major League Soccer has published a list of  the ten youngest players ever signed to an MLS contract with a Nigerian-born teenager included.

The 18-year-old Atlanta United defender George Bello, who was born in Abuja before relocating with his family to the United States, is the eighth youngest player to sign an MLS contract.

Bello inked his first professional contract with Atlanta United on June 17, 2017, aged 15 years and 146 days.

At 14 years and 168 days, Freddy Adu (D.C. United) remains the youngest player in history to sign a contract with an MLS team, followed by Emmanuel Ochoa (San Jose Earthquakes) at 14 years and 191 days.

Completing the top five are Gabriel Slonina (Chicago Fire, 14 years and 297 days), Joe Scally (New York City FC, 15 years and 83 days) and Gianluca Busio (Sporting Kansas City, 15 years and 89 days).

A dynamic left-back capable of playing as a left midfielder and left winger, Bello has played three matches in Major League Soccer.

He was a member of the United States U17 squad to the 2019 World Cup, going the distance in group matches against Japan and Netherlands.
