Pacy, Confident & Solid Tomori Singled Out For Praise After Chelsea's Loss To Valencia
Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori was one of Chelsea’s most impressive players during their 1-0 defeat to Valencia in yesterday's Champions League fixtures.

The young defender, who is seen as David Luiz's replacement among Chelsea supporters, performed brilliantly against Wolves last weekend when he scored his first Chelsea goal, and he was awesome against the Spanish side on Tuesday.

In their review of the match, many highly-rated media outlets applauded the former Derby County star for his great and calm performance.

According to  the Express in their match rating, Tomori 'Showed good pace to make an excellent recovery challenge and was keen to bring the ball out of defence, spraying passes around confidently.'

The highly-regarded media went on to give him 7/10 ratings for a job well done.

As for the Mirror,  the media outlet laid emphasis on Tomori's pace and his no-nonsense defensive attitude.

They wrote: "His pace was vital as he chased back to clear danger on several occasions."

Football London equally praised the youngster for his wonderful pace and confidence throughout the duration of the encounter. They game him a high rating of 7/10

They wrote: "Looked full of confidence in the first half, showing great pace and solid defending. One spell-binding run forward that almost ended in a Chelsea chance as well.

''In the second half, he looked pretty secure during the 45 minutes and wasn't really troubled too much through the game."

Daily Star also gave their thought on the player's display against Valencia, they claimed that his pace and confidence made things tough for Gameiro and Rodrigo.

They said: "A brilliant game at the weekend and followed it up with a resolute display at the back for Chelsea against Valencia.

''His astronomical pace allowed the Blues to play further up the pitch and was a constant thorn for the likes of Kevin Gameiro and Rodrigo.

''The departure of David Luiz is looking more and more a masterstroke with the continuing form of the Englishman"
