In our series of Nigerian teenagers tipped for greatness during the season, we put our focus on Arsenal's highly rated goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo.
The 17-year-old, who is of Nigerian parentage, is one of the players tipped to progress to the Gunners senior team in no time due to his potentials and dedication.
Okonkwo trained with the first team stars on many occasions last season and was in the traveling party to Italy for their Europa League quarterfinal tie vs Napoli but was omitted from the 18.
The Hale End Academy product is big, fast, has good reflexes and excellent passing skills, and has been likened to Bayern Munich superstar Manuel Neuer.
Okonkwo made some appearances for the U23s last season and he's expected to do the same in the course of the 2019-20 season.
He has featured for England at U16, U17 and U18 levels but remains eligible to play for the Super Eagles in the future.
