Aubameyang Sends Emotional Message To 'Naija Boy' Iwobi As Nigerian Moves To Everton
Published: August 09, 2019Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on Friday posted an emotional goodbye message to Nigeria forward Alex Iwobi following his move to Everton.
Iwobi was signed on transfer deadline day by the Toffees for £35million on a five- year deal.
The Hale End Academy product was a popular figure in the Gunners dressing room and that was reflected by the message on Instagram by Aubameyang.
"Naija boy why's man doing this," Aubameyang's message to Iwobi read in part.
"I wish you all the best bro. We gonna miss u and ur swegg."
The message is alongside a video and picture of Iwobi and other teammates harmlessly making fun of the player's choice of clothes.
Everton will begin their 2019/2020 season with an away clash against Crystal Palace on Saturday while the Gunners will be guests of Newcastle United on Sunday.
