Arsenal Academy Product Amaechi In Line To Make Professional Debut For Hamburg
Arsenal Academy product Xavier Amaechi is in line to make his professional debut for Hamburg when they tackle Nürnberg in the second round of matches in the 2. Bundesliga on Monday evening.

The highly-rated winger has been included in the provisional 20-man squad list announced by manager Dieter Hecking this morning and will travel with the players to Franconia.

In the 20-man group, Amaechi has been listed among the ten midfielders selected for the trip.

The 18-year-old departed Arsenal last month in search of regular first-team opportunities and the fact that he has been named on the provisional roster a week after joining Hamburg shows he is highly regarded by the coaching staff.

Amaechi developed a knack for scoring and providing assists during his time with Arsenal youth teams; he had a hand in 12 goals (4 goals, 8 assists) in 22 Premier League 2 matches.

Hamburg were held to a 1-1 draw by Darmstadt 98 in their season opener last weekend.
