Arsenal Star Iwobi Tipping Manchester City To Retain Premier League Title
Published: June 29, 2019Alex Iwobi believes Manchester City are the favourites to win the Premier League title in the 2019-2020 campaign ahead of Manchester United, Liverpool and London clubs Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.
Previewing the upcoming season, the Hale End Academy product considers The Citizens the team to beat because they were able to defend the title last season.
''Everyone thought that last season, but Liverpool give them a tough challenge as well. So, you never know what could happen.
''I’m sure every club’s going to invest and try and get their team right. Pre-season’s coming up really soon, so everyone’s trying to get ready for the season to start.
''It’s hard to say right now whether Man City are going to dominate, but they could be favourites, considering they won it again.''
As for Arsenal, Iwobi says they are targeting a Champions League spot and win as many competitions including the Europa League.
The 23-year-old is currently on international duty with Nigeria at the Africa Cup of Nations and started their first two matches against Burundi and Guinea.
