Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi isn't just one of the best midfielders in Africa but one of the best tacklers in the world.
His records with Leicester City is a confirmation that the 22-year-old defensive midfielder is more than being Kante's replacement at the King Power Stadium.
Instead, the former Genk youngster is fast becoming a player whom Leicester City won't be able to keep for a very long time considering his awesome work rate at the centre of the pitch.
Apart from his no-nonsense defensive attributes for his English club, Ndidi's contribution to the Super Eagles remains uncompromising and solid.
Indeed, his dedication and hard work for the national teams, including U17 and U20, makes him the only outfield player from the 2013 U17 World Cup winning squad to make it to the AFCON tournament in Egypt.
Dele Alampasu, Isaac Success, Francis Uzoho and Kelechi Iheanacho managed to progress to the Super Eagles setup after conquering the world in 2013 but they couldn't remain in the team.
Dele Alampasu is yet to make his competitive debut for the senior team despite numerous invitations to camp. Success and Iheanacho couldn't maintain their respective forms for the team which eventually forced them out of Rohr's plans.
Uzoho was included in the final squad list but it remains unknown if he will see any game-time in Egypt after losing his place to Daniel Akpeyi.
All eyes will be on the Leicester City man to see if he can replicate his club form with the Super Eagles during the much-anticipated competition.
