Nigeria manager Gernot Rohr is sweating over the fitness of Leon Balogun ahead of the international friendly against Zimbabwe on Saturday, June 8, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
In the latest training session held on Wednesday afternoon, Balogun did not train with the group and ran at least seven laps around the track wearing a canvas shoe.
It is understood that the Brighton & Hove central defender is nursing blisters on his foot, and Rohr plans to continue judging his level of fitness before making a decision on his availability for the clash against the Warriors.
Katsina United goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa did not train at all and was seen sporting an ice pack on his knee.
Otherwise there are no injury concerns leading up to the match against Zimbabwe, and the Super Eagles have been boosted by Chelsea defender Ola Aina and Bordeaux's Samuel Kalu return to full training after both worked with the physio on Tuesday.
Alex Iwobi, Ahmed Musa and Abdullahi Shehu participated in full training shortly after reporting for international duty and showed no signs of travel fatigue.
