Chelsea Hero Mikel Offered The Chance To Return To Premier League By Norwich, Sheffield Utd
Published: May 16, 2019Norwich City and Sheffield United have offered John Obi Mikel the chance to return to the Premier League next season.
The Super Eagles skipper penned a short term deal with Middlesbrough in the January transfer window, and with the Riverside Stadium outfit not meeting their target for the season, a departure is definitely on the cards.
Mikel will make a decision on his next club before the start of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
ESPN journalist Colin Udoh, who is close to the midfielder and his entourage, has been in touch with a source close to the situation.
''There are some options right now, and a few more we expect to see over the coming days,'' the source said.
''He will most likely make the decision before the finals, although that will depend on what is on the table''.
