Leicester City's Ndidi Will Overshadow Mikel's Premier League Achievements In No Time

Mikel Obi isn't just a former Chelsea player, he is also regarded as one of the best players to have featured for the Stamford Bridge outfit in many years.

Though largely underrated by many Chelsea and football fans across the world, the defensive midfielder is in a class of own whenever he's in form and he will stand his ground against any striker or midfielder.

Having spent more than a decade with the club, the 32-year-old already had so many trophies under his belt including two Premier League trophies and three FA Cup, making him Nigeria's most successful player in England.

However, this unofficial title (Nigeria's most successful player in England) will surely shift to another player in the nearest future. And who else is capable of achieving such level of success if not Leicester City's midfielder Wilfred Ndidi.

The ex-Genk man was one of the best players on the pitch against Manchester City on Monday, but it was unfortunate that his breathtaking display wasn't good enough to see the Foxes avoid defeat.

Just like Mikel, Ndidi is hugely under-appreciated by fans but that takes nothing away from the fact that he's one of the best midfielders in Europe.

Having spent just three seasons in England, the 22-year-old already has two Leicester City's Young Player of the Year awards.

The youngster, who was reportedly brought to replace Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante in 2017, is definitely making a name for himself in England and it won't be a surprise if top-four clubs come seeking for his signature in the upcoming transfer window.

Should he eventually find his way into a top four club, the hardworking midfielder will have an opportunity to win many trophies and he will be regarded as the most successful Nigerian in Premier League's history.

His importance to Leicester City can't be overemphasized as he has featured in all the 37 Premier League matches played by Brendan Rodgers' team this season.
