Why Arsenal Might Regret Selling Chuba Akpom
Published: May 07, 2019Former Arsenal striker Chuba Akpom ended his long-term relationship with Arsenal during last summer transfer window after failing to break into the Gunners first-team throughout Arsene Wenger's reign.
Despite Akpom's huge potentials, the Frenchman didn't see enough reasons to integrate him into his list of regular starters unlike what he did to the striker's childhood friend Alex Iwobi.
Selling Chuba Akpom seemed the best option for the Gunners due to his inability to live up to expectations during his loan spell with different clubs including Coventry City, Nottingham Forest, Hull City and Brighton.
However, Arsenal's decision to part ways with the centre-forward might turn out to be a regrettable one considering his present form for Greek side PAOK.
He scored seven goals so far this season and he can still increase his tally in the next season.
Should he continue with his recent fine form, Arsenal manager Unai Emery will surely regret sanctioning the player's transfer without giving him an opportunity to fight for a place in the team.

Akpom is back to the form that made him one of Arsenal's highly-rated youngsters in 2013, and he was influential in PAOK's run to the league title for the first time in more than three decades.
