'Injured' Etebo Set To Make 37th Career Appearance For Stoke City Vs Sheffield United
Published: May 05, 2019Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Nigeria national-teamer Oghenekaro Etebo is set to make his 37th appearance of the season in all competitions for Stoke City when they trade tackles with Sheffield United on the final day of the regular season.
Reports were rife at home and abroad that the central midfielder was doubtful for today's match at the bet365 Stadium after picking up a knock in last weekend's class at Millwall.
Stoke City manager Nathan Jones had admitted in his pre-match press conference that he was sweating on the fitness of Etebo ahead of the visit of The Blades.
The good news is that Etebo has been named in the Potters match day squad and all signs point to the fact that he will be handed game time, if the last workout is anything to go by.
The former Warri Wolves star has had an outstanding season, so much so that he is one of the favorites to pick up Stoke City's Player of the Year accolade.
Etebo has been linked with a switch to Galatasaray in the close season and the Turkish giants have been quoted a transfer fee in excess of €20 million to sign him.
